Debie enjoys ceramics and pottery, sewing and embroidery, and has a passion for photography. As an amateur photographer, one of her photos of MT. Shasta, California won her the 3rd place ribbon in a professional photography competition at the Siskiyou Golden Fair. In 2010, she teamed with her eldest son, Joshua, to start Meyer’s Wires. She now lovingly creates all of the custom wire wrapped jewelry seen on this site by hand.
For years, Joshua has enjoyed making hand-crafted art such as custom woodburnings and hand-painted figurines as a hobby enthusiast. In 2002, several of his pieces were commissioned for use in production of the independent film, ‘Raspberry Heaven’, which was filmed in Ashland, Oregon and premiered at several Independent Film Festivals around the nation in 2004. In 2010, he turned his interests and focus towards chain maille armor and jewelry, and now devotes the majority of his time to designing new pieces. He also does all the photography for our website, manages our facebook page, and oversees the day-to-day operations of our business.
Joshua’s wife, Heather, joined the team in early 2012 as our in-house candle maker. Heather makes all of the tea light candles for our line of maille candle skirts, as well as votives, pillar candles and more. She also helps Joshua with all of the day-to-day operations, and is “Super Mom” to their two children.
